University, College, and Chemistry Major Requirements for Graduation (UCR General Catalog links)

There are three levels of requirements at UCR to earn a BA or a BS degree - University, College and Major. The requirements listed on this page pertain to the Chemistry major only. The full text of these requirements can be found in the UCR General Catalog.

General University Requirements

Chief among the University requirements - A minimum of 180 units of academic work with a grade point average of 2.00 in all courses undertaken in the UC is required for graduation.

College Requirements - College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences (CNAS)

Breadth courses for the B.A. and the B.S.

Major Requirements - Chemistry

Courses used to fulfill Chemistry major requirements (114 units - unit count may vary depending upon your emphasis):
Chemistry course descriptions (70 units)

Physics course descriptions (20 units)
