A Postdoctoral Position in Biosensors

We have an immediate opening for a postdoctoral position in our lab at UC Riverside. At this position, the successful candidate will develop new SPR biosensor techniques for study of protein-carbohydrate interactions, in particular those involving phosphoinositides (PIPs). The main research focus is to develop novel waveguide substrates that allow fabrication of lipid microarrays for high throughput analysis with surface plasmon resonance imaging (SPRi) technique. A doctoral degree in chemistry, engineering or related fields is required. Experience in waveguide optics, SPR and relevant research subjects is highly desirable. This is a one-year position with possibility of renewal for second year, contingent on mutual agreement and availability of future funding. Salary commensurate with experience and a benefit package will be included. Interested applicants should send a complete CV along with three names of references to Prof. Quan "Jason" Cheng, Department of Chemistry, University of California, Riverside, CA 92521. Email: quan.cheng@ucr.edu.
