There is always room in our
laboratory for qualified graduate students. However, candidates
must first apply and be accepted to our UCR Graduate Program. You
need to fill out our Departmental application form on the web, and
submit
your undergraduate (and graduate if available) transcripts, your GRE
scores, and three letters of recommendation to the Department of
Chemistry or directly to me at the address on the right. If you
are not a
US citizen or permanent resident, you will need to fill a
different international application form. Also, if you are not a
native English speaker, you will need to take the TOEFL. Taking
the Test of Spoken English (TSE) is also highly encouraged, and is used
to set priorities in evaluating international applications.
Be advised that our minimum
requirements are a GPA of 3.0 or better, a combined Verbal +
Quantitative GRE score of 1100 or above, and a TOEFL score of 550
(paper version) or 213 (electronic) or better. For more
information, contact me or the Chemistry Department (click on one of
the links on the right).
